Course learning outcomes:
- You will learn 50+ drills to aid in teaching a handstand, forward roll, backwards roll, cartwheel, round off, kickover, backwalkover, front walkover, and beginner backhandspring drills.
- You will learn 10+ drills to help your athletes be more dynamic and flexible in their jumps. You can also apply the drills to improve leaps.
- You will learn stretching and flexibility drills to increase your athletes’ mobility.
- You will understand how the coaching process works, so you can implement a structure that works to help your athletes achieve their goals.
- You will develop fundamental spotting skills.
- You will learn different methods to help with certain obstacles.
- You will learn how to maintain a positive coaching atmosphere and mindset.
What are the requirements?
- You should be excited to take on the challenge of coaching.
- While there are some basic mats recommended, I will help you make informed decisions about what's best for your coaching depending on several factors.
- No prior knowledge of coaching is required, but a basic knowledge of acro/tumbling skills is recommended. This course is geared for beginners and intermediate coaches looking to refine their skills, as well as parents that want to start teaching basics to their athletes in a home setting.

Your Instructor: Coach Ashley
Since 2009, Ashley has been coaching gymnastics, cheerleading, and tumbling, leaving a lasting impact from California to Florida and various places in between. With a reach spanning thousands of athletes nationwide, Ashley expanded her coaching services globally in 2020. She has a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida and boasts a diverse athletic background, having been an NCAA pole vaulter, competitive gymnast, and an all-star & high school cheerleader.
Drawing on her experiences, Ashley developed the Tumble Method, focusing on the biomechanics of correct technique over the past 15 years. Her method is designed to empower athletes and coaches, guiding them toward unlocking their full potential regardless of their current stage in skill development.

She’s read countless books and articles and has watched thousands of videos in an effort to learn as much as possible about coaching. She emphasizes the importance of basics, believing that creating a foundation for your athletes will lead to transformation and inevitable success. Her goal is to guide you through the Tumble Method process step-by-step, making it accessible, fun, and easy to learn.
